Somewhere between coffee shops that feel more chaotic than creative and home offices that blur into living rooms, women entrepreneurs have been craving a different kind of workspace. Not just a desk and WiFi, but a place where ambition and well being could actually coexist. Enter The Workscape Club, a new event series under the luxury wellness umbrella The Roots Co., founded by Christine Forsythe. What Christine has created is less about clocking hours and more about cultivating energy…think laptops open by the pool, strategy sessions between spa treatments, and networking over a chef crafted lunch rather than under fluorescent lighting.

At a time when women founders are carrying the weight of scaling businesses, running households, and somehow still finding time for themselves, The Workscape Club feels like a radical permission slip. It’s proof that productivity doesn’t have to feel like depletion, and that community is often the missing ingredient in how we work and create.

Q: What inspired the creation of The Workscape Club, and what kind of experience were you hoping to create for women entrepreneurs and founders?

A: The Workscape Club was inspired by the desire to reimagine what “work” can look and feel like. I saw how often we are expected to build businesses in environments that don’t always nourish creativity, wellness, or connection—and I wanted to change that. Instead of the typical office or coffee shop, I envisioned a luxe retreat-style setting where we could be productive but also feel relaxed for and inspired. That meant partnering with beautiful hotels and spas, curating spaces where the workday flows seamlessly from poolside emails to wellness activations, to meaningful networking. The experience I hoped to create was one of balance—where ambition meets restoration. A place where wellness-minded creatives, entrepreneurs, and work-from-home professionals could not only get work done, but also reset their energy, expand their networks, and feel celebrated for the bold paths they’re carving. It’s more than a workspace; it’s a community that blends productivity, wellness, and connection in an elevated way!

Q: The Workscape Club blends wellness with productivity in such a seamless way. Why do you think that combination is so important right now, especially for women?

A: The Workscape Club blends wellness with productivity because, for women especially, the two can’t be separated anymore. Many women entrepreneurs and founders juggle multiple roles—building businesses, leading teams, showing up for families—and that constant drive can come at the expense of their own well-being. Now more than ever, creating space to both achieve and recharge is essential. Wellness isn’t a luxury; it’s what sustains creativity, focus, and resilience.

Q: Can you walk us through a typical day at The Workscape Club? What should someone expect when they attend?

A: A day at The Workscape Club is designed to feel equal parts inspiring, productive, and restorative. Guests can expect a flow that balances work with wellness and connection. At our first gathering at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, we began the morning at the spa—starting with private access to the cold plunge, sauna, and mini massages. Before diving into the day, we had inspirational books to browse and a motivational card to set the tone. From there, we shifted into work mode—laptops open, some reading, others catching up on emails. Later, we moved poolside, with private cabanas creating the perfect mix of focus and relaxation. Over lunch, there was time to connect, network, and share ideas, followed by moments of simply enjoying the pool and sunshine. The experience is a blend of productivity, wellness activations, and community—where women can not only get work done but also be inspired, recharge, and build meaningful connections.

Q: What do you hope every woman leaves The Workscape Club feeling, thinking, or carrying with her back into her business or everyday life?

A: My hope is that every woman leaves The Workscape Club feeling both recharged and re-inspired. I want her to carry with her not just the work she accomplished, but also the sense that she’s worthy of spaces that fuel her creativity, wellness, and joy. I hope she walks away thinking bigger about what’s possible for her business, feeling supported by a community of like-minded entrepreneurs or creatives, and carrying a reminder that rest and productivity can go hand in hand. Most of all, I want her to leave with renewed energy, fresh perspective, and the confidence to pour that back into her work and everyday life.

The Workscape Club isn’t just a workspace, it’s a reimagining of how women build, connect, and restore while pursuing their biggest ambitions. Christine Forsythe has created something that feels like the antidote to burnout and the blueprint for balance. For women who are done compartmentalizing their lives into “work” and “wellness,” this community is a reminder that you don’t have to choose. You can grow your business, nurture your creativity, and leave every workday feeling more like yourself. If anything, The Workspace Club makes the case that the future of entrepreneurship is softer, smarter, and infinitely more sustainable.
